Chapter 3 – Memories of You

His mom went back to the kitchen saying "then let Trina sleep in
Your room..." they both said in chorus "WHAT!?"

"Mom! no! Trina can stay in your room! and dad's gonna sleep in my room! it's more fair!" Cedric is almost shouting. Trina is just quiet thinking 'why did mom and dad leave me here?' she looked at Cedric and looked down 'what is their purpose of leaving me here?' Cedric is still reasoning "c'mon mom! It’s better right?" then Cedric’s dad went down "what's happening here? oh Trina hello! how are you feeling?" Trina blinked and whispered to Cedric "umm... Cedric... who is he?" Cedric looked at her "oh? that's my dad... he works everyday, so you won't see him in the house everytime, only at night" Trina smiled to Cedric’s dad "umm... good evening sir..." Jinn said "just call me dad if you want hahahaha!!" Cedric cut him off "dad!" Trina blushed "umm... Mr. Sanders is better" Jinn commented "what? what's wrong with calling me dad? Yuki is also calling me dad, and Trina when you are young you used to call me dad hahaha!" Cedric’s mom went out of the kitchen "okay, dinners ready, and Jinn! you know what Trina’s going through right now so don't talk to her like that." Jinn agreed "okay, sorry Trina... c'mon let's eat!" he went to the kitchen. Cedric was silent for a while and looked at Trina "Trina, I'm sorry I-" he noticed that Trina is laughing softly "Trina?" Trina looked at him "oh... sorry I can't help laughing, your dad's funny" he smiled "he's always like that... let's go" she nodded...

In the dining room, they are eating quietly when Cedric’s dad talked again "so Trina, how are you feeling?" Trina smiled "I’m feeling okay Mr. Sanders..." he laughed "that's good Trina! you know Cedric is always thinking about you hahahaha!!" Cedric shouted "dad!!" Mrs. Sanders stop them "now, now you two... don't start again... Trina, sorry about their actions, they're always like this." Trina smiled and also blushing "I-it's okay Mrs. Sanders..." and Cedric asked his mom "so mom... have you agreed with my plan?" Mrs. Sanders looked at him "plan? plan of what?" Cedric answered "well, Trina cannot sleep in my room... but i-it doesn't mean I’m selfish... it's just that... she's a girl... and she would feel uneasy sleeping in my room..." his mom said to him "it's okay as long as you don't do something bad to her" Cedric panicked "o-of course not!" Cedric’s dad talked "hahaha!! Cedric! I didn't know you're a very gentleman hahaha!! It’s okay for Trina to sleep in your room, and I don't want to be separated with my wife!" Trina is just quiet... until she said "I... I can sleep on the couch..." Cedric looked at her "no... You’re not sleeping on the couch..." Trina is just quiet. Cedric’s dad told Trina "it's okay Trina! when you are young you sleep in Cedric’s room!" Mrs. Sanders looked at her husband "Jinn! what did I told you a while ago..." Mr. Sanders nodded and said "sorry" Trina smiled "it's okay..." Cedric thought to himself 'I lost, they didn't agree with me' he looked at Trina 'I hope she will sleep comfortably in my room'... and Cedric continued to eat...

Dinner’s done, and it's almost time for bed... Trina was sitting on the couch thinking 'oh no... Where will I be sleeping? I can't sleep in Cedric’s room...' she didn't notice Cedric carrying her things... "Trina... hey Trina..." Trina came back to reality and saw Cedric carrying her things "w-what are you doing?" Cedric looked at her "I’m carrying it to my room..." Trina panicked "I-it's okay... I’ll just sleep here" Cedric looked at her seriously "are you crazy? I can't let you sleep there..." he continued upstairs and he stopped and said "don't worry I’m not going to do anything... I guarantee you that" then he continued to walk upstairs... Trina carried her other things and followed upstairs, she stopped and think 'I guess I don't have any other choice... but-' she looked at her things and give herself some bravery 'no... Mr. sanders said I used to sleep in Cedric’s room when we were still young, so I guess it's okay' and she walked upstairs... she saw Cedric going inside his room, her heart beats faster because of nervousness 't-this is my first time to enter a guy's room, well my dad is an exception...' she went inside and was amazed, it was clean and neat.

Not like she saw in movies that guys room are messy and dirty... his room was different it was very clean. Her attention went back to Cedric. He’s preparing a futon and putting the pillow and the blanket near the door... she looked at the distance... she smiled to her self 'Cedric is really a gentleman, but with the distance from his bed... umm... it's far...' she asked him "umm... do you think it's too far?" Cedric looked at her and smiled "nope... it's okay, by the way are you going to use the bathroom?" she nodded... And he said "okay, you go to the bathroom, and I’ll just stay in the living room, call me if you're done..." she nodded and Cedric went out of the room... she's still looking at the distance of that futon and Cedric’s bed she smiled 'is Cedric scared at me, I can't even talk to him with this distance' she laugh a little and went to the bathroom...

Cedric is sitting there, when the phone rang, he answered it "hello, good evening" Yuki laughed "hahaha!!! wow good manners Cedric" Cedric smiled "shut up Yuki... so what's up?" Yuki stopped laughing "so... what happened?" Cedric was confused with that statement "what happened?"
"Yeah, between Trina and you... are you two friends again?" Cedric smiled "of course we are... she's going to sleep here..." Yuki panicked "what? did she actually say that?" Cedric closed his eyes "no... Her parents left her and ask my mom if she could sleep here... only tonight..."


"Where is she sleeping? there are only two room in your house... no way... Cedric... am I thinking what I’m thinking?" Yuki said almost laughing, Cedric stopped her before she laugh "Yuki, don't start... and yes she's going to sleep in my room... don't worry my futon is near the door" Yuki laughed "what!? it's far! hahaha! are you scared with Trina? hahaha!!" Cedric looked at the hallway and saw Trina came out of the bathroom, already dressed; he smiled and said to Yuki "hey, do you want to talk to Trina? she's here..." Yuki said "of course!" then he said to Trina "Yuki wants to talk to you..." he saw Trina’s things "I’ll carry them upstairs, talk to Yuki first" Trina nodded "okay... but is it okay if you-" Cedric nodded "no problem... my turn to use the bathroom" he smiled and went upstairs carrying Trina’s things... Trina is talking to Yuki and Cedric went down, carrying his towel and his clothes and went to the bathroom...

"So Trina… are you okay there?" Trina smiled "yup, I’m okay here... I think Cedric is scared at me..." Yuki laughed "hahaha!!! I don't think so! I can't help laughing when he said the futon he prepared is near the door hahaha!!" Trina asked her "I guess he's just making sure I won't feel uncomfortable and scared..."
"Yup... he's a gentleman, so you have nothing to be scared about!"
"But I’m scared sleeping near the door..." Yuki immediately cut her sentence "nah-ah... I don't think Cedric will let you sleep there, you're going to sleep on the bed!" Trina’s eyes widened "what? no... That is Cedric’s bed..."
"Hey Trina, he's not going to let you sleep there... he won't do that..." Trina looked at the floor and to the bathroom door "but... is it okay with him...?" Yuki laughed "of course! I’m sure he will say that you'll be sleeping on the bed!" Trina was still listening to her, when the bathroom door opened she looked at him, he was dressed and his hair is messy.

Cedric noticed Trina was looking and he smiled, Trina looked at the comb she was holding, Cedric walked past her but Trina stopped him "Yuki... are you finished with your homework?" Yuki answered "not yet, I just checked how the things are going with Cedric... well it seems he's calm... so I guess I’ll talk to you tomorrow..." Trina smiled "okay bye bye Yuki good night" Trina’s still holding Cedric’s hand Yuki answered "sure bye." and then she hang up the phone. Cedric stared at her "w-what is it?" Trina smiled and handed him the comb "here fix your hair, it's messy" Cedric smiled "thanks..." he went upstairs and went to his room... Trina followed him when she saw Mrs. Sanders she greeted her "good evening Mrs. Sanders are you going to sleep now?" Mrs. Sanders smiled "yes... I was about to check if you two are already asleep, it seems not yet... so I’ll be going back to my room... have a goodnight sleep Trina..." Trina smiled "thank you, good night too Mrs. Sanders..." then Trina went to Cedric’s room. When she opened it, she saw Cedric "umm... are you going to sleep now?" Cedric looked at her and went to his futon near the door "not yet... I’ll stay awake until you fell asleep" Trina asked him "am... I going to sleep on your bed... not there?" Cedric lay down on his futon "yes... I can't let a woman sleep on the floor so go to sleep now... do you want me to turn off the lights?" Trina immediately answered "n-no..." then she lay down on the bed. She smiled 'it's soft' she looked at the direction of the door, she's staring at Cedric when- "you can't sleep?" she was startled but she answered "w-well... umm... kind of..." Cedric answered "don't worry I won't do anything to you... I’ll just stay here... I promise" Trina smiled "I know... I just can't sleep... are you sleepy?"

"I told you, I won't sleep until you sleep first..."
"Oh yeah... sorry..." Cedric looked at her "since when have you been talkative?" Trina laughed softly "since you prepared that futon far from me" Cedric smiled "I’m just making sure… you might think I’m a pervert..." Trina throws a pillow at him "stupid" Cedric looked at her and said "hey! What was that for!?" Trina laughed "you're always so serious, I’m just trying to-" her sentence was cut off when Cedric throws back the pillow Trina throwed at him "hahaha... just go to sleep." Trina looked at Cedric 'he's funny' then she lay back and ask Cedric "I’m sleepy... good night Cedric." Cedric closed his eyes "good night... don't come near me while I’m sleeping understood?" Trina opened her eyes with shock "what?! what do you think am I?" Cedric laughed "hahaha! you might take advantage of me while I’m sleeping..." Trina looked at him "what!? I should be the one saying that!" Cedric laughs "fine fine, now go to sleep..." Trina just smiled "good night" and they are both asleep... Mr. Sanders opened the door to check the two, when he opened the door, he immediately saw Cedric because he is near at the door, and Trina is sleeping peacefully in his bed... Mr. Sanders slowly closed the door and when the door is closed he laughed so hard "hahahahaha!!! I cannot believe this!! my son is scared with girls!!! hahaha!!" his wife went out the room "what's wrong?"
"What’s wrong?! hahaha!! your son is scared with girls! hahaha!"
"What?" so Mrs. Sanders opened the door and saw Cedric at the door... she smiled and slowly closed the door "Jinn, stop laughing, that can be an evidence that Cedric, your son is a gentleman." Mr. Sanders stopped laughing and nodded "yeah... okay, let's go to sleep..." his wife nodded and they went inside their rooms...

morning came and Cedric opened his eyes he sat and saw that Trina is already awake because she's not in his bed, he was about to stand when he noticed "what the- this is my blanket on the bed... how did it come here?" he stood up, and fixed his bed and the futon he thought to himself 'Trina’s going home today, wait... did she-' he was done and went down to saw Trina’s parents and Trina he greeted them "good morning Mr. and Mrs. bloomer" Trina greeted him "good morning Cedric..." he smiled "good morning" Mr. bloomer asked him "did Trina behave her self?" Trina looked at her dad "daddy!" Cedric smiled "yes sir, she is behave yesterday..." he asked them "oh, have you eaten already? I will prepare something..." Mrs. Bloomer stopped him "it's okay son, we have already eaten..." then his mom went down the stairs "can you stay here first? I’m just going to buy something at the store" he nodded "okay mom" then he went to the living room and joined them and talked...

Trina smiled to herself ‘I guess Cedric didn't notice it...' she remembered a while ago when she woke up, she saw Cedric sleeping peacefully but she cannot see the blanket that he put in his futon last night, so she get the blanket from the bed and covered Cedric’s body... she whispered to him "good morning Cedric, thank you for letting me sleep here..." then she went out the door slowly and head downstairs... she's still smiling when someone knocked on the door "I’ll get it" Cedric said and he went and opened the door "yes?"
"Umm... is this the home of Cedric sanders?"
"Huh? uhh... yeah... who are you?"
"I heard that Trina bloomer stayed here..."

"Yeah... may I know who are you?" Cedric thought to himself 'he knows Trina?' the guy answered Cedric’s question...
"Oh sorry about that... I haven't introduced myself..." he smiled "my name is Larry Frankton. Nice to meet you..."
